Housing Care Tips

It is very important to keep your housing properly lubed with a dive silicon. This ensures a seal at the port and the back gasket.

When lubing it is best to lube the threads on the port…not the oring. Be careful to not over tighten the port to the point the o-ring pushes out the side.

When lubing the back gasket just use apply a thin layer around the entire gasket. The back plate needs to be tightened to the point where it squashes the gasket 1/3 compressed. It does not need to be extremely tight.

When using your CMT housing for the first time make sure you completely go through it, lube it and make sure you know how everything works. We always recommend taking the housing for a swim before putting your camera inside to ensure you have the housing lubed up and properly tightened.
